Template:Song"30 Hours" is the sixteenth track from Kanye West's seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo (2016). The song was released as a single on Soundcloud on February 12, 2016 as part of Kanye's GOOD Fridays program to promote the album. The song also features vocals from André 3000.

In the song, Kanye looks back on a previous relationship as he deals with his current relationship with Kim Kardashian.

Production

The song heavily samples Arthur Russell's 1986 song, "Answers Me" and uses the drums from Isaac Hayes' 1973 song, "Joy". It also interpolates two Nelly songs, "E.I." and "Hot in Herre".

Background

"30 Hours" was originally made in 2015, during the SWISH era. On January 24, 2016, Kanye tweeted a picture of the track list for SWISH, which included the song as the fifth track on the album. On February 12, the same day as the release of "30 Hours", Kanye tweeted a new track list for the renamed album, The Life of Pablo, which showed the song as the fourteenth track on the album.

"30 Hours" was the third and final song that released on Soundcloud during the GOOD Fridays program in anticipation for TLOP. However, unlike the other two songs released, it has been taken off Soundcloud for unclear reasons.
