It was mistakenly attributed to Chief Keef, but this was debunked by his mother.[1] While the exact date of its creation is unclear, the beat is believed to date back to 2017. Kanye recorded "All These Friends of Mine" on May 26, 2021.
A cut-down freestyle version of "All These Friends of Mine" was commonly included in tracklists throughout 2021. This version merges the production elements from two earlier freestyles of the song. It initially leaked with a misleading file date of November 30, 2021. In some leaked handwritten notes, Consequence wrote, "Write lyrics to Re Cut" in relation to "Friends."[2]
