Background

The song was initially created on March 21, 2019 during the Yandhi sessions with Timbaland, initially intended to be a reference for Kanye. It's unlikely Ye had ever recorded for the song, though his choir would record backing vocals for it.

The song was brought back in 2020 as a solo Ant Clemons song with reworked production from an unknown producer, the song at this time intended for Ant's debut studio album HAPPY 2 BE HERE (2020). The song would fail to release on the album for unclear reasons.

The song was seemingly brought back in 2023 during the Bad Bitch Play Book sessions with ¥$, featuring new backing vocals from Ty Dolla $ign. This version would be played by Ty on stream on December 7th, 2025. The song has been theorized to have been brought back into consideration for the VULTURES albums due to this, though it's more than likely to have been brought back by Ant instead for his sequel album he had been working on at the time HAPPY 2 BE HERE WITH YOU as Ant and Ty were evidently working together heavily on solo work amidst these sessions as shown by the short collaborative EP the duo released on April 13, 2025.

• This is Kanye's only direct collaboration with Skrillex; all other occasions Ye has worked with the artist (like on "SLIDE" and "Ego Death") it had been through Ty Dolla $ign.
  • It's possible however that Skrillex only produced versions of the song further down the line when it was Ant's song and the second producer of the song is BONGO ByTheWay who had been collaborating with Ye heavily at the time, given the production on another song featuring Ant Clemons though unrelated to Ye, "Gifted" by Cordae and Roddy Ricch features very similar strings to this song and features production from the aforementioned BONGO ByTheWay.
• It's also possible though even less likely that the song had been worked on for Beach House 4 while it was under Ye's executive production, given it's unknown whether Ye had recorded for the song or not.
