"Bed Yeezy Season 5" (stylized as "BED YEEZY SEASON 5") is a song by Kanye West that was released as a single on February 28, 2017. The song has only been released on Soundcloud. It solely features vocals from The-Dream. It is a cover of the 2007 song, "Bed", by J. Holiday, which The-Dream co-wrote.

Background

Though releasing in 2017, the song existed as early as 2006 and had initially been intended to be a Chris Brown song. The-Dream recorded a reference intended for Chris to record over, though it's unclear if he ever had as he ended up not using the song and had it passed down to J. Holiday who would record for the song and release it as "Bed" on January 1st, 2007. Despite this, The-Dream's reference would later release onto his unofficial mixtape entitled LoveTape: The Demos in 2010.

The sound would be brought back in very early-2017 and reworked completely by both Kanye West and DJDS, turning the R&B reference track into an ambient song starring The-Dream. As the song's name would suggest, the song would first preview at Yeezy Season 5 on February 15, 2017. 13 days later, the song would officially release as a SoundCloud exclusive in its entirety.

• This is the only song that Kanye released in 2017.
