"Bobby Digital" (also known as "Close It All Down") is an unreleased song by Kanye West, James Blake and No I.D. that was initially created in 2022 during the sessions in which a collaborative project between the three had been worked on. The song notably has went through various eras.
Background[]
The song was initially created in 2022 for the James Blake and No I.D. collaboration album, WAR. The song features vocals from James Blake and production from him, but was not finished up until the album was cancelled following Kanye's antisemitic rants.[1]
The song was brought back in 2023 during the Japan sessions for YEBU. The song was seen on an early track list off of Digital Nas' private Instagram, it's unknown how much the song had been reworked at that point.[2] Luit confirmed that the song was made for Ye's solo album, not his collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign.[3] Despite this, trusted source Rodri confirmed Ty Dolla $ign did in fact still record for the song, during the Bad Bitch Play Book era.
Damn james! officially previewed the Bad Bitch Play Book version of the song in full.[4] He also played a take, featuring a reference from Ye's former assistant, Sasha Hashemi.[5] This reference is relatively redundant as it doesn't fit Ye's writing tone and is not similar to other versions of the track.
According to JoyBoy, several songs from WAR were brought back for VULTURES 2. Given "Bobby Digital" had already been brought back for B.B.P.B., it is highly likely it is apart of the several songs that were brought back. It's unknown when they were brought back, however, but is presumed to be post-rework due to JoyBoy saying it in present tense. According to James Blake himself, however, he and Ye had not talked in a long while.[6]
On a Parti stream with SNEAKO in May 2025, the song was among the many WAR-era tracks played. After fans had begged SNEAKO to tell Ye to drop the album with mumble, Ye had shown interest in doing so, reaching out to collaborators to remove song opens to make the album as finished as it could have been in its form.[7] However, Digital Nas had later confirmed that no more "unreleased" albums would be released as a result of DONDA 2 not doing well chart-wise, meaning the two albums hinted at releasing, WAR and Yandhi had ultimately been scrapped and this song has officially been scrapped.[8]
On July 15, leaker Hogan would confirm a new version of "Bobby Digital" had been made for BULLY, likely now featuring AI vocals.[9]
