Bon Iver is an American indie folk band founded in 2006 by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon. Their name comes from the French phrase "bon hiver," meaning "good winter," which was a line in Northern Exposure.[1][2]
Bon Iver -- or more specifically, Justin Vernon -- has collaborated with Kanye West on several occasions, with their best-known collaboration likely being "Lost in the World" from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). Justin went on to collaborate with Ye on the Watch the Throne (2011) and Yeezus (2013) projects, with their most recent collaboration being the 2019/2020 track "Take Me to the Light."[3][4]
