"CAN'T HURRY LOVE" (also known as "DESIGNED FOR" and "CAN'T BEAR") is an unreleased song by Kanye West that is intended to release on his upcoming album, BULLY.

Production[]

This track samples "You Can’t Hurry Love" by The Supremes.[1] The track is played 4/4 time in 153 BPM, and it is in the key of Eb Major.

Background[]

This song was initially posted with a Yeezy Supply ad that was on Kanye West's X.[2] Soon later on February 3, 2025, at The Grammys afterparty a longer version of the track was previewed.[3] The lyrics have multiple references to Yeezy designs.[4][5]

Soon later an earlier snippet was played by Adin Ross on a live stream with a slightly longer portion of the intro and alternative lyrics. This version has very evident AI use. It seems that Kanye did rerecord his vocals for the Grammys afterparty.[6] The song was also included in the BULLY short film, released on March 19, 2025.[7]

Lyrics[]

[Intro]
I can't bear
To live my life alone
I grow impatient for a love
To—, impatient for a love
To call—

[Verse]
We in another time we was designed for (I can't bear to live my life alone)
I got to rearrange it, move my mind forward (I grow impatient for a love)
Oh, move my mind forward (To call my own)
This thing is getting dangerous, just going blind for it
We in another time we was designed for
I gotta rearrange it, move my mind forward
Oh, move my mind forward

[Outro]
I remember Mama said
"You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait"
She said, "Love don't come easy"
It's a game of—
It's a game of—
How many heartaches
Must I stand
Before I find a love
Before I find a love
Right now the only thing
That keeps me hangin' on
When I feel my strength
Yeah, is almost gone
I remember Mama said
"You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait"
She said, "Love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take"
How many heartaches
Must I stand
Before I find a love
Before I find a love
Right now the only thing
That keeps me hangin' on
When I feel my strength
Yeah, is almost gone
I remember Mama said
