"DAMN" is a song by Kanye West that is intended to release on his twelfth solo studio album, BULLY (2025).[2] The song features real vocals from West and serves as the third single to the album, met with a streaming release alongside "PREACHER MAN" and "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" on June 20th, 2025.

Production[]

The intro is sampled from Nina Simone’s song "Feelings," performed live at the 1976 Montreux Jazz Festival.

Background[]

It's unclear exactly when the song was recorded, though given the vocals being real Ye vocals and Ye having not touched any of the vocals on any of the other songs made for the album as well as being completely unmentioned or previewed prior to its release its likely to have been created some time around "HOLY ART THOU", another song speculated to have been made for the album far later into its sessions.[3]

"DAMN" was first uploaded to digital streaming services along with four other songs on June 16, 2025.[4] Ye first announced that he planned to release five songs from the album every day from June 16 to June 18.[5] However, this schedule was not met, and the song was officially released four days later on June 20.[6]

Lyrics[]

[Intro: Nina Simone]
I wish feeling never comes
I wish feeling never comes
I wish feeling never comes
I wish feeling never comes

[Chorus: Kanye West]
Damn, damn, damn
Did I ruin your plans, plans, plans?
Well that's the way I am
Gave it all I had
My feelings are the facts of it
It's more of me to navigate
Pray we never crash, crash, crash
Today will always last
We're the ones that pass away
So, baby, did you laugh today?
This one's for the path we take
Magic hourglass
At least I gave you that

[Chorus: Kanye West]
Damn, damn, damn
Did I ruin your plans, plans, plans?
Well that's the way I am
Gave it all I had
My feelings are the facts of it
It's more of me to navigate
Pray we never crash, crash, crash
Today will always last
We're the ones that pass away
So, baby, did you laugh today?
This one's for the path we take
Magic hourglass
At least I gave you that

[Chorus: Kanye West]
Damn, damn, damn
Did I ruin your plans, plans, plans?
Well that's the way I am
Gave it all I had
My feelings are the facts of it
It's more of me to navigate
Pray we never crash, crash, crash
Today will always last
We're the ones that pass away
So, baby, did you laugh today?
This one's for the path we take
Magic hourglass
At least I gave you that
