"DIDDY FREE" (formerly known by its name backwards, "FREE DIDDY") is a song by Kanye West and New York rapper as well as son of Diddy himself, King Combs that was released as a track to their collaborative record, NEVER STOP (2025). The song features backing vocals from an AI module of The Hooligans done by Dave Blunts.[Citation needed]
Background[]
The reference was initially leaked on March 14, 2025, near the same time as the previews for WORLD WAR 3.[1] The song was likely recorded in the same sessions as WORLD WAR 3, which leaves people to believe that Dave recorded a reference for that song as well.
The reference track has Dave Blunts rapping about TMZ and Diddy. The song was later included on a WW3 tracklist posted by DJ Akademiks.[2]
On April 26, 2025, a longer snippet of the song leaked with the new one containing Ye vocals.[3] It is very evident that Dave Blunts wrote the full song as the reference's vocals were AI'ed on in this. As well, Dave confirmed that he wrote every song on CUCK.[4] The song has AI vocals, this is possibly temporary as Ye has confirmed that he dislikes AI.[5]
The song was leaked in full alongside CUCK on May 18, 2025. The version of the song that leaked on this copy had been the latest copy of the song and had featured Digital Nas drums over the beat.
After the leak, the song had been repurposed and handed down to King Combs. On June 13, it was reported in an info-dump that Combs had began working with Ye and had recorded for "FREE DIDDY". On June 27, the song would release as a part of Combs and Ye's album, NEVER LOSE.
