Background[]
In early 2021, Kanye produced "Daylight" as part of his upcoming album, Donda. It was seen on a leaked track list for the album, originally listing the song as the tenth track on the album.[2] The song played at the Las Vegas listening party on July 19. However, it did not release on Donda.
Four months before Lost Souls was released, Vory shared a track list for his then-upcoming project, which featured "DAYLIGHT ft. KANYE" as its third-from-last entry.[3]
