Andwele Gardner (born February 14, 1978), better known as Dwele, is an American R&B singer and rapper.[1] Dwele gained fame with his demo, The Rize, which sold out within a week. His demo was heard by Slum Village's producer J Dilla, who worked with Dwele in 2002. Since then, Dwele rose to fame.
In 2004, Dwele first worked with Kanye West in a remix to his song, "Hold On (Remix)". Dwele would go on to provide vocals for two of Kanye's biggest songs: "Flashing Lights" and "POWER".
