Kanye West Wiki

"FEAR" is an unreleased song by the hip-hop duo ¥$ (Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign) created with intent for their album VULTURES 2 (2024).[1] The song features production from Lester Knowhere.

Production[]

The song runs at a tempo of 81 BPM and has a key of F# minor. It features a prominent sample of the song "Fear" by Low.

Background[]

The song was initially created some time in 2023 during the early Bad Bitch Play Book sessions where Lester fully produced the song in Ye's room in Italy. He described it as "the best song I've worked on in my lifetime so far." which Lester Nowhere posted to his Instagram all on April 4th, 2025.[2] The song made an appearance on the infamous 40-track track list as the 32nd track.[3]

The song was brought back for VULTURES 2 post-rework in 2024 and had been fully finished with solo Ye.[4] It's unclear if Ty was ever meant to record for the song or if the song was in its completely finished state.

Several snippets of the song had leaked on October 29 of the same year and was planned to be group-brought, although after the song's producer Lester Knowhere caught word of the planned buy he went on a rant about leaking unreleased music which had resulted in the song's groupbuy being cancelled.

Lyrics[]

[Verse: Kanye West]
I ain't mean to sin father God, this the real me
Couldn't let that n***a slide, he was gon' kill me
Swing through the block at your own pace, feel free
We left him by that tree like he got stung by a real bee
Them n***as said they gon' retaliate, but we'll see
He was beggin' for that smoke, we put his dumb ass in a real leaf
When your kids can't come outside, you know it's real beef
I know a killa that wear glasses like a real geek
I might have to leave everything behind and just go for it

[Chorus: Kanye West]
I might have to leave the block, I ain't fuckin' with it no more
I might have to see an opp, and then pew, he had to go, Lord
I just might have to deal with this shit on my own
On my own, I feel in my heart

[Bridge: Kanye West]
I might have to really take that risk in a North Face, ahh
I might have to fly to LA and miss a court date, ahh
I might have to pull that switch out and aim that bitch at your face
I might have to hit that corner, we told you that that store's safe

[Chorus: Kanye West]
I might have to leave the block, I ain't fuckin' with it no more
I might have to see an opp, and then pew, he had to go, Lord
I just might have to deal with this shit on my own
On my own, I feel in my heart
