"FOREVER ROLLING" is a song by ¥$ (Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign) and Lil Baby that was released as the fourteenth track from their second studio album, VULTURES 2, which released on August 3, 2024.[1] It was released as a single that same day and was later moved to the ninth track on the album.[2]
Background[]
The song was initially created in 2021 and was initially intended to be a Lil Baby and Lil Durk song with an EST Gee feature for their album, The Voice of the Heroes.[3] The song's name at this point is very unclear, although its very possible it was still "Forever Rollin'" considering the producer had still been "FOREVER ROLLING".
Some time between October and December, Lil Baby given the song to Kanye. EST Gee was still present in the song's earliest demos.[4] After Kanye's verse was finished, EST Gee was completely removed from the song and the song was played at the Miami Listening Event on December 12.[5] Despite not appearing on the track lists around this time, this song was in consideration for VULTURES 1 as it was loaded into the iTunes version of the album in place of "Drunk".[6]
Past this point, the song was given back to Lil Baby and was seen on multiple track lists for his album.
The song presumably was not worked on for the majority of the VULTURES 2 sessions, but was brought back post-rework, given the entirely new beat. The song was officially released as track 14 for VULTURES 2 on August 3rd, 2024.[7]
