The Glow in the Dark Tour was the third concert tour for Kanye West, supporting his third studio album, Graduation (2007). West initially announced the first tour dates in the United Kingdom in September 2007, followed by the announcement of the American leg in January 2008. He engaged in detailed rehearsals and collaborated with Jim Henson's Creature Shop for the production of his set, with design contributions from Esmeralda Devlin, Martin Phillips, and John McGuire.
During this tour, West primarily performed music from his first three studio albums and incorporated songs from his 2008 album, 808s & Heartbreak, in later legs. The songs were re-arranged by the touring band to give them a more melancholy sound. The concerts followed a space opera concept, where West portrayed a character traveling in his spaceship named Jane and performing on a desolate planet, ultimately seeking more power.
The tour kicked off in London on November 22, 2007, and traveled across the United States, South America, Europe, and Oceania, concluding with its last show in Brisbane on December 7, 2008. West also made a stop at the 2008 Bonnaroo Music Festival, although delays during his set led to a negative backlash.
