"Go2DaMoon" is a song by Playboi Carti that was released as the second track from his second studio album, Whole Lotta Red, on December 25, 2020.[1] The song features vocals from Kanye West, who also executively produced the album.
Background[]
The song's verse originates from a scrapped feature on Future's unreleased song, "In Abundance". In early 2018, when Wheezy and A$AP Bari were in Wyoming, the song was created under the title, "Bipolar". The song was worked on again on December 18 before being scrapped. In 2020, Kanye gave the song to Playboi Carti for his then-upcoming album, Whole Lotta Red. On November 24, the song was teased in a clip of Carti dancing to the song in the studio.[2] At one point, Ye's verse on "Go2DaMoon" was originally intended for his song, "God's Country", which was later scrapped and given to Travis Scott without any of Ye's vocals.[3]
