"HOPELESS" is an unreleased song by the hip-hop superduo ¥$ (Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign) that was created in 2023 for their scrapped collaborative album Bad Bitch Play Book (2023).[1] The song features vocals from Sasha Hashemi.

Background[]

During the Italy sessions for Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's joint album Bad Bitch Play Book, singer Sasha Hashemi would begin collaborating with the two, recording references for BACK TO ME and SO GOOD along with a contribution to this song. This copy of the song which at this point in time had been a mumble freestyle would make it onto the infamous 40-track listing for the album in October.[1]

The song was presumably in a semi-finished state before being scrapped as the intro vocals which had been finished had been taken from the song and added to finished versions of "VULTURES" with Bump J and Lil Durk.

Very little is known about the song and Sasha's contributions to it. It has been theorized to be a reference track that had been listed given she had been noted for having recorded multiple references for songs around this period, Though given the formatting for another song on this track listing, "ALLIGATOR CARTI", it's likely her contributions were intended as a feature given it's highly unlikely Playboi Carti had been recording references for Kanye.[2]

Lyrics[]

[Intro]
All eyes is on me
Won't tell no lies, won't hold my tongue
Don't cry for me
