"ISABELLA" is a song by ¥$ (Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign) that was released as the fifth track from their studio album, VULTURES 2, on August 3, 2024.[1]
This skit follows a subliminal theme present in both VULTURES 1 and VULTURES 2 – that of people latching onto the fame accumulated by Ye and Ty Dolla $ign and expecting to be compensated with materialistic items.[2]
Samples[]
The song taken directly from ISABELLA's then-unreleased song "SHOES".[3] The song runs at a tempo of 90 BPM in the F# key with a minor mode.[4]
Background[]
The song has been falsely labelled as a further developed version of an unreleased Lil Nas X song "Guess U Get What U Want" that had been created during the early-Donda sessions, though neither of the songs have ever had any correlation.[5] The song actually began as song by Isabella Papile and had been intended to serve as her debut single, which had been sent to Ty Dolla $ign.
Upon rediscovering the song after a while, Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye had decided to transform the song into a skit for their album VULTURES 2. This skit and "LIFESTYLE" were once presumably the same song, given the skit reappeared in the album later during LIFESTYLE's runtime.[6]
The song would be met with an official release on August 3rd as a track onto VULTURES 2. After release, the song was updated consistently up to the final update, reducing the song by another second, turning the song's run time from 0:09 to 0:08.[7] It was also later removed from "LIFESTYLE".
On November 12 of 2024, a finished version of the song was released as a single by the singer in which the skit was named after titled "SHOES".[8]

Trivia[]
- At 8 seconds long, this song is the shortest album track ever released by Ye, beating "Intro" from The College Dropout by 11 seconds.
- This song, like another song of the era "Vagabond" by 070 Shake was never given to Kanye nor Ty Dolla $ign for them to release. The song, its real name "SHOES", was later released as a single by the original artist ISABELLA on November 12 of that same year.[3]
