Isis Naija Gaston, known professionally as Ice Spice, was born on January 1, 2000. She is an American rapper who was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City. Ice Spice began her musical career in college in 2020 after meeting record producer RiotUSA. Her unique rapping style has caught the attention of music journalists, who have recognized her as a "breakout star."
History (w/ Kanye West)[]
"New Body" was initially intended for Kanye West's unreleased album "Yandhi." Nicki Minaj recorded for the song, but it was never officially released. Later, Kanye attempted to include "New Body" on "Vultures 2." He initially wanted to use Nicki Minaj's verse, but she declined. Kanye then reached out to both Ice Spice and Doja Cat to record new verses. According to West himself, Ice Spice did submit a verse however, her team reportedly declined to clear it for release.
