Shawn Corey Carter (born December 4, 1969), known professionally as Jay-Z (stylized as JAY-Z, Jay-Z, Jay Z, and Jay:Z), is an American rapper, songwriter, record executive, entrepreneur, and media proprietor.[1] Ye rose to prominence thanks in part to his contributions on Jay's 2001 album The Blueprint, and since then, the two have been associates, collaborating on numerous occasions including on the entire 2011 album Watch The Throne.
