Not to be confused with the album Jesus Is King, the album that this film accompanies.
Jesus Is King is a 2019 experimental concert film by Kanye West and directed by Nick Knight, featuring West's gospel-rap group, the Sunday Service Choir. The film accompanied the release of Jesus Is King, Ye's ninth studio album that released after a series of delays on October 25, 2019. It had a limited airing in IMAX theaters on the day of the album's release, and has not been re-released since, despite Ye promising a digital release on iTunes in the near future.[2][3]
Most songs featured in the film are either from the Jesus Is King album, the SSC's Jesus Is Born project, or other traditional songs. "Jesus Is Lord" is named "Every Knee Shall Bow" in the credit roll.
