"LAST BREATH" is a song by Kanye West that was released as the sixth track to his demo studio album, BULLY V1 (2025).[1] The song drifts away from Kanye's typical sound and leans into a Latin Pop sound similar to the song "DRUNK" off of his collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign, VULTURES 2 (2024) and similar to that song features vocals from Peso Pluma.[2] Similar to the rest of the album, the song solely features production from Kanye West himself.

Production[]

"Take My Last Breath Away" samples "Bésame Mama" by Poncho Sanchez. The track is played 4/4 time in 114.8 BPM, and it is in the key of Ab Minor.

Background[]

The song is believed to have been made some time around October 2024 as this is the earliest date in which the song is known to exist. Based off the back-and-forth second verse with Kanye on the updated version he shared with X (fka Twitter), it is very likely Peso Pluma recorded the initial reference in which Kanye had used AI over.[3] Consequence also stated he recorded a reference for the song, though it is almost certain he's not the voice in the song as he does not know Spanish.[4]

The song makes an appearance in all known track listings for the BULLY film. On February 2nd, 2025, the song was first premiered alongside several other BULLY songs at his private RSVP event in LA that he held after the GRAMMYs. The song featured AI Ye vocals in Spanish. Later that month, an extended version of the song was previewed at his wife Bianca Censori's film premiere on the 23rd.

BULLY (Film)[]

On March 18th, Kanye would randomly release the BULLY visual film, releasing this song as well as the rest of the album in film format.[5] Ye would later take to X (fka Twitter) to Tweet his reasoning behind this, being the album was primarily AI and he formed a new disdain towards AI technology and that he had been planning on reworking and rerecording for the entire record.[6] It's possible a new version with no AI may exist, though there exists no confirmation as "MELROSE" stands as the only song that has any confirmation of being reworked.

Shortly after the song's release, Kanye would also take to X (fka Twitter) to Tweet an updated version of the song featuring vocals from Peso Pluma on the hook as well as part of the second verse.[7]

Eventually, every site hosting the BULLY film had been taken down, likely as a result of Kanye not being able to get clearance to the Pomme sample on "HIGHS AND LOWS" as soon before they had been taken down it had been confirmed Pomme had became aware of Ye's use of her song of her sample and had stated she would be seeking legal action to have it removed.[8]

Lyrics[]

[Chorus: Peso Pluma]
Bésame, mamá, como tú sabes
Déjame, mamá, como te gusta a ti
Bésame, mamá, como tú sabes
Déjame, mamá, como te gusta a ti

[Verse 1: Kanye West]
Te doy hasta mi último, último
Take my last breath away, mi aire
I gave you my everything sin problemas
Noche tras noche alejado
Way too much tequila, Clase Azul
Take my last breath away
Sé lo que has dicho, no es cierto
Now look at the mess you made
No quiero pelear, tú dale
Take my last breath away

[Chorus: Peso Pluma]
Bésame, mamá, como tú sabes
Déjame, mamá, como te gusta a ti
Bésame, mamá, como tú sabes
Déjame, mamá, como te gusta a ti

[Verse 2: Kanye West & Peso Pluma]
No me dejes solo si tú sabes que ya te di todo
Nos tomaron un chingo de fotos, sé que a veces dicen que estoy loco
Todas las noches que lloras, despierto a estas horas
Con todo el desmadre que tú traes
Okay, you win bitch, you're right
Take all of me, taking my breath away
Take all of me, taking my breath away

[Chorus: Peso Pluma]
Bésame, mamá, como tú sabes
Déjame, mamá, como te gusta a ti
Bésame, mamá, como tú sabes
Déjame, mamá, como te gusta a ti
