"LA Monster" (also known as "Ugliest Nightmare"[1]) is an unreleased song by Kanye West that was intended to release on Jesus Is King (2019), but was cut from the album at the last minute.[2][3] In the track, Ye reflects on "the way that Los Angeles and the bright lights of Hollywood change people." He also prays for forgiveness and asks for God to protect the sinning people.[4][5]

The song was previewed at several listening parties for JIK. When the song was previewed at New York, it was noticeably titled "Ugliest Nightmare".[1] On September 28, 2019, Kim Kardashian tweeted a picture of a track list for the then-upcoming album, listing "LA Monster" as the sixth track on the album.[3] The song was also set to release on God's Country, according to several leaked track lists for the album.
A remix of the song was planned to release on Kanye and Dr. Dre's unreleased collaborative album, Jesus Is King II. It features vocals from A$AP Ferg.[6]
Several trustworthy insiders stated that the song almost made it onto the deluxe version of Donda (2021). In January 2024, the version of "LA Monster" that was intended to release on Donda was leaked in its entirety.[7]
