Louis Leo Prima (December 7, 1910 – August 24, 1978) was an American trumpeter, singer, entertainer, and bandleader. From his roots in New Orleans, Louis' music pioneered R&B, rock-and-roll, jazz and swing, hence his nickname "The King of Swing".[1] Louis also voiced King Louie in Disney's 1967 movie, The Jungle Book.
History (w/ Kanye West)[]
In the KIDS SEE GHOSTS (2018) song, "4th Dimension", Louis' 1936 single, "What Will Santa Claus Say (When He Finds Everybody Swingin')" is heavily sampled. Because of this, Louis is credited as a feature on the song.[2]
