Lauryn Noelle Hill (born May 26, 1975), also known as Ms. Lauryn Hill, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and actress. She is often regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time, as well as being one of the most influential singers of her generation.[1]
To date, she has never directly collaborated with Kanye West (at least on his own, solo discography), though she has seemingly served as an inspiration to him. One of Ye's earliest hits "All Falls Down" (2004) is named after and is partly revolved around her track "The Mystery of Iniquity"; the Ye-produced track "Coming Home" has Lauryn Hill on it; and "Believe What I Say" samples her song "Doo Wop (That Thing.)"[2]
