"Oh-Oh-Oh" is a single by hip-hop group The Go Getters (Kanye West, GLC, Timmy G, and Arrowstar), released on July 6, 1999.[1] The track is featured on World Record Holders (1999).[2]
Background[]
The song features a hook and intro done by Kanye West, as well as a verse by him.[2] Other members GLC and Timmy G have vocals too. While, West and NO I.D, cover the production on it. The song is described as a "club banger".
Promotion[]
John Monopoly led a picket line-style protest at WGCI-FM to get the song on the radio station’s playlist; when that didn’t work, Mike Love started playing snippets of Go Getters music as a lead-in to commercials. “Oh-Oh-Oh,” which at one point nearly got the group a deal with Elektra Records.[3]
