Terrence LeVarr Thornton (born May 13, 1977), better known by his stage name Pusha T, is an American rapper and former record executive. He gained recognition as half of the hip-hop duo Clipse, alongside his brother and fellow rapper No Malice.[1]
He joined GOOD Music in 2010 and has gone on to become one of the label's best-known artists, alongside Kanye West.[2] Over the years, he formed a close working relationship with Ye, appearing most notably on "Runaway" from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010).[3] Ye has also produced some of Push's albums, including My Name Is My Name (2013) and Daytona (2018). Ye also named him the president of the GOOD Music label in 2015, a position that Push kept until 2022.[4]
One of the things that Push is best known for doing is having a beef with Drake which resulted in Push revealing that Drake had a son. This was confidential information only known by a few people including Ye, which led to Ye and Drake having a years-long beef until 2021. In light of Ye's antisemitic and other controversial comments in 2022, Push distanced himself from the rapper, which included his decision to not only leave being president of GOOD Music, but to leave the label altogether.
