Robert Fitzgerald Diggs (born July 5, 1969), better known by his stage name the RZA, is an American rapper, actor, filmmaker, and record producer. He is known for being the de facto leader of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan, having produced most albums for the group and its respective members. He is also a cousin of two other original Wu-Tang members: GZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard.[1]
He is known for his approach to music production, which has been regarded as highly influential.[1] He appears on the track "So Appalled" from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010) and has production credits on that album's opening track. In 2012, his directorial debut, The Man with the Iron Fists, aired in theaters; the soundtrack for that album includes a song by Kanye West.[2]
