"Skurr" is an unreleased song by Kanye West that was created during the God's Country sessions. As of 2021, the song has been given to KayCyy.

Background[]

The song was first created on November 8, 2019, along with over 100 other songs that Kanye had made on that day.[1] KayCyy first recorded reference vocals for the track on November 12.[2] Like many of the songs made during the God's Country sessions, "Skurr" would eventually be carried over into the DONDA: WITH CHILD era. It was listed as the eighth track on a DONDA tracklist posted by Ye onto Twitter on July 18, 2020.[3] A day later, The World Famous Tony Williams recorded reference vocals for the track.[4]

The song was seen on several DONDA tracklists from the fall of 2020, but it had seemingly been scrapped during the Pio Pico sessions in 2021. Later that year, KayCyy briefly posted a tracklist for his new album on Instagram, seemingly teasing the release of "Skurrrr" with a feature from Ye.[5] However, he later alluded that the song had been scrapped from his album. In 2024, a filename with the title: "SKURR (sholz EY p2j elias) new" was seen in a livestream hosted by KayCyy, possibly meaning that it is set to release on his upcoming studio album, WHO IS KAYCYY.

Lyrics[]

[Chorus]
Said they wanna love [?]
I got all the love, I know
[?]
Till she called upon
[?] Called upon, Lord
[?]
Don't, don't do that
Skurr, Skurr, Skurr, Skurr
Skurrduwirrubrrubrrub
Skuuurr
Pull up like, skuuuurr

[Verse 1]
Yeah
Pulled up on the devil like, "I don't need a deal"
Pulled up on my doc like, "You can keep them pills" (Skuurr)
Jesus is my armour, some like a navy seal
It's a miracle, can you tell somebody I'm healed? (Skuurr)
Tell somebody I'm healed, hold on (Skuurr)

[Verse 2]
Uh, yeah
I tried a lot God, you the only one that work
Felt like I was nothing, but you showed me my worth, uh (Skuurr)
I was lost in my ways, had to rekindle my faith
If you ain't 'bout what I'm about, then you can step out my way
When I step out with God, I know my path is straight
When I step out with God, I know my path is straight
