Background

The song was originally titled "Sky High Intro" and didn't feature Kid Cudi. However, in January 2009 when the updated version of the mixtape was getting produced Kid Cudi and Big Sean got in touch with DJ Benzi andCudi recorded for this track.

The song samples many of Kanye's iconic songs such as Flashing Lights, Good Life, Diamonds from Sierra Leone, Touch the Sky, and more. Kanye repeats the phrase "I'm sky high" multiple times in the song. Both Kanye West and Kid Cudi reference Kanye West's label GOOD Music in this track. The intro pays homage to Kanye's legacy by sampling some of his most classic hit titles.

The song was later rereleased on Kid Cudi's confirmed unofficial album "Dat Kid From Cleveland".
