"Someday We'll All Be Free" (also known as "Censori Overload") is a song by Kanye West that was released as a single on December 7, 2022.[1] It was initially released on Kanye's Instagram page, and was later uploaded on Alex Jones' InfoWars after being taken down.[2]
Production[]
The song heavily utilizes a sample of "Someday We'll All Be Free" by Donny Hathaway in its instrumental, and plays a snippet of Ye's 2022 interview with Alex Jones, where Jones is heard asking Ye, "Can we just kind of say, like, you like the uniforms but that’s about it?" to which he responds, "No, there's a lot of things that I love about Hitler." The InfoWars snippet, played during the outro of the song, omits the words "about Hitler".[2][1]
Background[]
The song was made in response to the backlash he faced for repeatedly making antisemitic comments throughout the fall of 2022. He reinforces his hostility towards Jews when he repeats the line "tweeted 'death con', now we past three" at the end of the song's second verse. The song, co-produced by Ye and John Cunningham, was produced, written, and recorded within the span of one hour, according to Timcast.[3]
The Instagram post was taken down not long after it was put up; it was subsequently reported that Ye also lost access to his account around the same time.[4]
According to insider Alek, the song was in consideration to release on ¥$ (Ye and Ty Dolla $ign)'s debut studio album, VULTURES 1 at some point in time. He and Pop also clarified that there were 2 new verses recorded (excluding the original one) and the outro sample had been removed with Ty interpolating the Donny Hathaway sample.[5] However, according to other insiders this version does not exist making the legitimacy of this claim unclear.
Lyrics[]
[Intro: Donny Hathaway]
Take it from me, someday we'll all be free
Take it from me, someday we'll all be free
Just wait and see, someday we'll all be free
Take it from me, someday, someday, someday
[Verse 1: Ye]
Wakin' up to "I can't do this anymore" texts (Woo)
And the Bible said I can't have any more sex 'til marriage (Woo, woo)
No drip 'til Paris (Paris)
The meek shall flourish (Flourish)
So where's my heiress? (Heiress)
You wouldn't understand ('Stand)
How thin this air is (Air is)

Claimin' that they care and (Care and)
Wasn't given a fair hand (Fair hand)
Gettin' called from parents (Parents)
God calls for prayer rants (Prayers)
Thou strong for their hands (Yeah)
I forgot what fear is (Yee)
I forgot what fear is (Woo)
I forgot what fear is (Wee)
Other than the fear of almighty Yeshua
Who knew you before you knew who you was
Wear a Donda tee 'fore you respond to me
Y'all know honestly, y'all all honor me
I know 'cause the headlines why she wanna leave
You knew I follow God, so you should follow me

Take it from me, someday we'll all be free
[Verse 2: Ye]
I ain't never rocked with none of y'all, no way (No way)
And I'm pullin' up in that white OJ (Ayy)
Used to wear a watch filled with the O'Sheas

Tweeted "death con," now we past three
(It won't be long, take it from me, someday—)
Tweeted "death con," now we past three
[Bridge: Donny Hathaway]
Free, it won't be long
Take it from me, someday we'll all be free
Take it from me, take it from me, take it from me...
[Outro: Alex Jones, Ye]
Can we just kind of say like, you like
You like the uniforms? But that's about it
No, there's a lot of things that I love
That I love, that I love, that I love
(Love...)
