"TELEKINESIS" is a song by Travis Scott that was released as the eighteenth track from his fourth studio album, UTOPIA, on July 28, 2023.[1] It also features vocals from SZA and Future.[2]
The song was adapted from an unreleased song by Kanye West, which has been named "Future Sounds", "Future Bounce", and "Ultrasounds".[3] It was meant to release on God's Country, but the album was scrapped. Kanye still received writing credits.

Background[]
A track list for God's Country that dates back to November 2019, listing "Future Bounce" as the third song on the album.
"Future Bounce" is one of the first songs that Kanye produced during the God's Country era, as its earliest known version dates back to November 2019.[5] Victory Boyd recalled writing a verse for Travis Scott in the song, which goes as follows:[6]
"I can see the future it’s looking like we leveled through the sky,
I can’t wait to live in Glory of eternal Paradise

I’m ready to surrender my whole life
Might as well turn up now

The song at this point had featured Travis Scott and Victory Boyd.[7] It had first made a track list appearance on one of the earliest sessions for God's Country from when the album had still been titled "Palm Springs". It served as the seventh track.[8]
During these sessions, Big Sean, Nino Blu and KayCyy had also recorded references intended for the song.[9] When the album's direction had shifted into DONDA: WITH CHILD, the song was among the many that had been carried over.
The song had been immensely tweaked during the WITH CHILD sessions, with Victory's contributions being cut and replaced with backing vocals from Harmony Boyd.[10] The song had also underwent large production differences.
One of the most notable differences was a version of the song with additional production from Andrew Dawson who had sampled "Heaven and Hell is on Earth".[11] This sample was later reused on a later Donda-era song titled "Heaven and Hell".
On July 18, 2020, Kanye posted a track list for his then-upcoming album, DONDA, revealing that the song was set to be the fourth track on the album.[12] Even after DONDA didn't release, Kanye still worked on the song up until July 2021.
Throughout the Pio Pico sessions, the song had not been worked on, but was brought back during the Mercedes-Benz sessions.[13] Although not worked on for a very long period, the song had been tweaked a week before the Vegas listening party and appeared on one final track list.[14] This was the last known time the song had been worked on for years.
According to writer Victory in her statement against Travis during their lawsuit, the song was at some point in Victory's possession and was named "Like The Way It Sounds", this version of the song being where Travis gotten the writing for his from. It's unclear when exactly this is from.[15] It's unclear when exactly this version of the song was made, though according to Victory herself was recorded in 2019, although several inconsistencies are in this timeline as the first Ye freestyle was made around this time as well.
In 2023, Travis Scott took the song and released it for his long-awaited album, UTOPIA, under the new title, "TELEKINESIS". Despite this, though, Ye still wanted to release the song, as it was seen on the 40-song tracklist for his and Ty Dolla $ign's collaborative album, Bad Bitch Play Book, which was created in October 2023, months after UTOPIA released.[16]
On January 8, 2025, Victory Boyd filed a lawsuit against Travis Scott for not crediting her on "TELEKINESIS", claiming that she never gave him permission to use the verse.[17]
