"TOO EASY" (originally titled "I'M FINNA LOVE ME"[1]) is the fifthtrack from Kanye West's eleventh studio album, DONDA 2 (2025).[2]
In the song, Kanye sings about his divorce with Kim Kardashian, saying that he needed her to live him.
Background[]
The earliest version of "Too Easy" dates back to January 29, 2022.[2] This version contains completely different production by AllDay that would be absent from further versions and was a mumble freestyle, containing the "too easy, too breeze" line that would be reused in future versions.
By February, the song would take an entirely different direction, with completely new production done by Dem Jointz and John Cunningham as well as a new Don Toliver feature.[3] Although Don's feature would not be revisited in future versions, the "I ain't even gonna love me" chorus would be carried into the released version. By the 13th of February, Beach House would contribute to the production of the song that would appear in the released version.[4]
The lines in the chorus would fluctuate between "my father love me," "I ain't even gonna love me" and "I'm gonna love me" between the versions. DaBaby had also recorded a feature for the song, but like Don Toliver's, was scrapped.[5] Fya Man, CyHi and Albe Back would record references for the song as well, but none of the lines from any of their references made any further versions.
On February 18, Kanye posted a tentative track list for Donda 2, listing "I'M FINNA LOVE ME" as the eighth track.[1] The song was previewed at the Donda Experience Performance. The song was officially released on February 24, 2022 as the 4th track on the Stem Player.
Since it's official release, the song has been continued to be worked on. The song has been completely finished since it's release on the Stem Player and seems to be titled "Love Me" and now lacks the "too easy" intro, has the "I'm gonna love me" line, additional MIKE DEAN production and a feature from STALONE at the end of the track.[6]
