"To The Roof" (also known by the title of "Through The Roof") is an unreleased Kanye West song created in 2013 that was later reworked in 2021 for his eleventh album Donda (2021).[1] The song features backing vocals from the singer BOOTS as well as production from West himself alongside Todd Rundgren and the producer duo Ojivolta.

Background[]
In 2013, the song was created and had initially been intended for use by singer Beyoncé. The song at this point in time featured solely production from Kanye who had also recorded a reference for the song, although it is believed to be just mumble. On the 31st of March singer BOOTS would record a reference for the song.[2] It's unclear if Beyoncé had ever recorded for the song.
Though the song had never released under Beyoncé, in mid-2021 while Kanye had been working inside the Pio Pico art gallery on his eleventh studio album Donda the song had been brought back, him recording a freestyle over a new instrumental produced by Ojivolta on April 11th.[3] Just 8 days later on April 19th, Todd Rundgren would help rework the song with added production and had cut the song down considerably as well as overlayed the BOOTS vox over Kanye during the "through the roof" line.[4]
