Jacques Bermon Webster II (born April 30, 1991), better known as Travis Scott (formerly stylized as Travi$ Scott), is an American rapper and record producer.[1] He has been signed to GOOD Music and developed a history in collaborating with Ye. He has production credits on Yeezus[2] and was featured on "Praise God."
Other connections to Ye include his stage name being partially named after Scott Mescudi, otherwise known as Kid Cudi, a frequent collaborator with Ye himself. Travis was also involved in the recording process of "FML," even having a leaked version with his vocals (the released version does not feature him but instead credits him for writing it.) The song is also part of The Life of Pablo, an album that is associated with a notepad that has various artists' signatures; Travis is one of them (signed as "Travi$.")[3]
History[]
On November 5, 2021, eight people died (with an additional two casualties days later) and hundreds were injured during a crowd crush at his Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas.[4] Later that weekend, Ye dedicated a Sunday Service set in remembrance to those affected by the tragedy.[5] With this incident staining Travis' reputation, it was revealed in January 2022 that Ye replaced him as a headliner for Coachella 2022.[6]
