History[]

A  Sensitive Content Section This section may include sensitive content, which could mean sexual, profane, or frightening material.

Ye did not post a tweet for almost two years between November 2020 and October 2022. His most recent tweet during that period was one implying that he'd run for U.S. president in 2024 after conceding defeat in the 2020 election.[1]

He made his return to Twitter on October 8 after being banned from Instagram for antisemitic posts. Once he returned, he posted a series of tweets, with one stating he's going "defcon 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE." That tweet sparked controversy which led to his account being restricted within a day of his return.[1][2][3]

He returned once again on November 20 with a tweet reading "Shalom : )"[4] Just eleven days later, he was banned once again, this time with the oversight of Elon Musk, for posting a swastika etched inside a Star of David. He also shared an unflattering picture of Elon just before he was banned.[5]

On February 7, Ye went on a 48 hour rant on Twitter, during which he stated that he would not apologize to Jewish people. In another tweet, he claimed that antisemitism is merely a term invented by Jewish people to "protect their bullshit." He also referenced a hand gesture made by Elon Musk at the inauguration earlier this year, Saying that Elon "stole his N*zi swag." At one point, he even declared that he loved Hitler and identified as a N*zi.

On February 9, Ye would go and post dozens of porn videos. Saying "MY FAVORITE PORN EVER FEAT. FRANCESKA JAIMES" and "I LOVE WHEN BITCHES [sex act]  FEAT. LANA RHOADES".

While Ye did later state that "on further reflection, [he's] not a nazi,' his worrying behavior and attitudes towards the Jewish community remain a focal point for criticism and a source of strife among the Kanye West fan community.
