Tyler Gregory Okonma (born March 6, 1991), better known as Tyler, The Creator, is an American rapper and record producer.
Tyler and Ye have collaborated several times over the years, including on Tyler's "SMUCKERS" in 2015 and Ye's own "Come to Life" from Donda.
History[]
Tyler had previously gotten Ye features on his Cherry Bomb and Igor albums.
Though Ye announced his tenth album would be titled Donda a year prior, the album's rollout arguably restarted when a Consequence posted a video showing the two working together on July 17, 2021.[1]
Upon the album's release, Tyler was nowhere to be found. His faint backing vocals were eventually added to "Come to Life" on the album's deluxe release on November 14, 2021.
In 2023, Tyler released "HEAVEN TO ME" on the deluxe version of his 2021 album Call Me If You Get Lost. The song samples "Heaven" by John Legend, which was produced by Ye.[2]
