VULTURES 3 is the unreleased third studio album by ¥$ (Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign). The album was set to be the closer to the VULTURES Trilogy though was scrapped after Kanye had feuded with all artists that had been intended to be involved in the creation of the album in March of 2025.
Background[]
On January 23, 2024, Kanye announced that Vultures would be split up into three separate albums. The third volume was set to release on April 5.[1] On March 25, Ye confirmed in an interview with Hypebeast Magazine that VULTURES 2 and VULTURES 3 are set to release "through his own platforms".[2]
On August 4, messages were shared between Ye and a producer, whom were talking about a new version of "Drunk" that the producer mixed. In the messages, the producer says "Let's just save it for the next one", implying that the song may release on VULTURES 3.[3] However, DRUNK was later released on the 8th of August 2024 as a digital exclusive featuring Peso Pluma and Kodak Black as a YZY exclusive single on the VULTURES 2 digital album.
At a Vultures listening party in Haikou, two new songs had been previewed alongside VULTURES 1 and VULTURES 2, being the already existing "NEW BODY" and a new song where Ty covers A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton.[4] It's unclear if these were intended for VULTURES 2 or for an upcoming project.
On September 20, despite rumors circulating that VULTURES 3 had been cancelled, Ty Dolla $ign confirmed on 88-Keys' Instagram Live that VULTURES 3 was still planned to release, saying "V3 bouta rip heads off" in the chat.[5] Producer The Legendary Traxster had also been in the chat, seemingly confirming Ty's statements. Despite this, it is unclear if VULTURES 3 is still in the works or if the album has been shelved. Besides the two previewed songs in Haikou, it appears Kanye's primary focus has been his next solo album, BULLY.
On January 13th, 2025, Kanye would open a DM from his fanpage Ye Fanatics asking if BULLY and VULTURES 3 were intended to release that year, to which Ye had simply responded with a like of the DM.[6]
On February 1st, Ty would go on stream with Tyga to talk about music and would share info on his two upcoming albums, Tycoon and VULTURES 3. Ty confirms he and Kanye had still been actively working on VULTURES 3 and previewed a new version of "DON'T KILL THE PARTY" on stream, now featuring both Kanye and Tyga's verses on the song instead of either or as well as a slightly altered beat, stating it was intended for VULTURES 3.[7] In that same live, Ty would hum to the melody of the unreleased "LOVE LOVE LOVE", heavily hinting at that it may have been brought back for either Tycoon or VULTURES 3.
On February 3, at the Grammy's afterparty, Kanye finally acknowledged VULTURES 3 and previewed a new song from the album, though he cut it before his verse.[8]
In March, West and Ty would begin feuding following Ty being featured on Playboi Carti's album and not posting what Ye had wanted him to post on Instagram after his infamous X (fka Twitter) rant.[9] In April of that year, producer Digital Nas would later confirm that VULTURES 3 had been scrapped, likely as a result of this feud.[10]
On September 16, 2025, Ty Dolla hinted during a live stream about being involved in VULTURES 3 and said 'it would be fire.'[11] It's still unlikely that the album will be released, though on several live streams, Ty would continue making remarks about it being released[12]. However, it's almost impossible that it will actually be released, especially due to Ye's silence on the project. On January 2, 2026, Auger, a friend of Ty, stated that they're is a high chance of the project releasing in 2026[13]. This is possibly connected to Ty's recent contact with Ye.[14]
Artwork[]
The cover art for VULTURES 3 was revealed on January 23, 2024. Similarly to the original covers of the previous Vultures albums, it was inspired by a painting from 19th-century painter Caspar David Friedrich, titled Landscape with Graves.[15] Unlike the other two albums, however, the VULTURES 3 cover edited the painting to look dark blue. The cover is also likely inspired by Burzum's 1996 album, Filosofem.[16]
It is likely that another cover of the album exists however as the covers for the other two VULTURES albums were changed to pictures of Ye and Bianca Censori (VULTURES 1) and Ty Dolla $ign and Big TC (VULTURES 2).
