"WE NEED ALL DA VIBES" is a song by Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti that released as a part of his third studio album MUSIC (2025) that was met with an official release date of March 14, 2025. The song features verses from Young Thug and Ty Dolla $ign as well as backing adlibs from Gunna with production done by Wheezy.

Production

The song's beat which was produced by Wheezy runs at a tempo of 143 BPM in the B key with a minor mode and an alt key of 10A.

Background

The song was initially made by YSL members Young Thug and Gunna in 2021 for their label album at the time Slime Language 2, though ended up being a throwaway for the album and shelved.

The song was brought back in January 2025 by Playboi Carti in a session with Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, the same sessions in which "Wheels Fall Off" had been recorded. In an interview with Akademiks, Kanye would state he had recorded a verse for the song and was intended to be on it, though had been cut from the song in February following his infamous 2025 antisemitic X (fka Twitter) rant. This was confirmed in an infodump in where insiders confirmed Ye would have appeared throughout MUSIC as much as Kendrick Lamar had if he had not went on this rant. Gunna's verse had also been notably cut from the song, likely as a result of Young Thug and Gunna's newfound feud following Gunna taking a plea deal in court.

The song was slated for release on MUSIC and Carti would facetime call Young Thug hours from release, likely in order to clear the song. The song would officially release as the twenty-first track of the record on March 14, 2025.

Feud

Kanye's removal from the song would spark a feud between the two artists, resulting in yet another X rant this time attacking Carti as well instead of solely the Jewish community, prompting Carti to respond with "YE STFU" on March 19th. Ye would later go on to prevent his daughter North from working with Carti and would later go on to state he would make the song "MELROSE" off of his demo album BULLY a solo song in its final release.

Trivia

• Alongside likely being the last collaboration Carti and Ty will have with Ye, it is likely this will also be the final released collaboration between Young Thug and Gunna.
• "FOMDJ" is also said to have a scrapped feature from Ye, though given the infodump stating "Ye would've been on the album just as much as Kendrick" it is likely there is even more Ye had recorded for on MUSIC that he had been cut from in final release.
