"WW3" (originally titled "WORLD WAR 3")[1] is a song by Kanye West that was released as a single on March 26, 2025. It is the first song released by West under the name "Ye."[2]
Production[]
The song mainly samples Freda Payne's song, "I Get High (On Your Memory)". The track is played 4/4 time in 135 BPM, and it is in the key of Ab Minor.
Background[]
A snippet of the song was first previewed by Ye on Twitter on March 15, 2025.[3] Ye told people to give the song a name, since he couldn't think of one. He later clarified that he recorded the song himself without AI.[4] It is speculated that Dave Blunts worked on this song, as its style closely resembles his, and Ye had earlier reached out to him.[5][6] Dave Blunts later quoted lyrics to the song, which gives the impression that he was involved with the development of the song.[7]
On March 15th, 2025, Ye would post a version of the song without drums. This version also confirms its name as "WORLD WAR 3".[1]
On March 30, 2025, Ye would go on an interview with DJ Akademiks.[8] During the end of the interview a music video for this song was played that features pornographic footage.
The song was later included on a WW3 tracklist posted by DJ Akademiks.[9] A snippet of Dave Blunts' verse was previewed on April 3, 2025.[10]
HIGHS AND LOWS 2[]
"HIGHS AND LOWS 2" is an unreleased remix of HIGHS AND LOWS which is a mashup of HIGHS AND LOWS and WW3.[11] Some fans speculate this was because West was experimenting with different beats for HIGHS AND LOWS as the sample clearance was denied.[12]
